The Hotel Group Orbis the biggest hotel chain in Poland, signed a contract with BatiPlus for Technical Control and Investment Supervision during the construction of its prestigious hotel with BREEAM certification – Mercure Kraków Centrum at Pawia, in Cracow.
A four-star, 200-room Mercure hotel will contain among others modern multifunctional areas (of 300 m²), a WineStone restaurant and a fitness room. The hotel will be built according to the BREEAM certificate requirements for “green buildings“. The opening of the hotel is planned at the end of 2016.
“I am convinced that this exceptional localization near the railway station and the Old Town in Cracow will be of benefit for the Company and the hotel will complement our offer on this strategic market and, most importantly, the project is in line with the Company’s strategy. The new hotel will be the first hotel investment in Poland with BREEAM certificate. It also fits into the policy of business social responsibility implemented Orbis,” – said Gilles Clavie, Chief Executive Officer of Orbis SA.
